Jiří Turek graduated from the First Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague. During his studies he completed a six-month internship at the Hôpital civil in Strasbourg, he also participated in teaching medical physiology as well as in various volunteer activities.
After graduation he worked at Jihlava Hospital in the Department of Internal Medicine, while also working in the mobile hospice „Sdílení“ and providing first aid services.
From 2020 – 2021 he worked at General University Hospital in Prague in the Department of Internal Medicine, where he worked in the unit focused on treatment of arterial hypertension and the coronary care unit.
