Blood Glucose Examination for Diabetes Detection and Monitoring

This test is designed to detect diabetes (Diabetes mellitus) or to evaluate the condition of patients already receiving treatment. Blood sampling is quick and done directly in our office. Using a single drop of blood collected from a fingertip prick, the sample is placed on diagnostic paper and inserted into a measuring device. The entire process takes about five minutes.

 

No special preparation is required unless otherwise instructed; fasting is not necessary, and patients may come at any time during office hours. Based on the results, if elevated blood sugar levels are detected for the first time, a fasting venous blood test will be required to confirm a diabetes diagnosis.

 

For patients already under treatment, this test helps assess current disease management. Our office can monitor type 2 diabetes, with support from a diabetologist in complex cases. However, ongoing monitoring of type 1 diabetes requires specialist care from a diabetologist.

 

This exam provides a convenient, efficient way to detect and manage diabetes.
